Honeit transcribes every call automatically. By default, Honeit auto-detects the dominant language on a call and transcribes in that language. This works well for the vast majority of interviews and doesn't need to be changed.
The only time you'd adjust this is if you expect speakers to switch languages within the same call. For example, a candidate and interviewer moving between English and Spanish mid-conversation. In that case, select Multilingual (allow language-switching) to ensure the transcript captures both languages accurately.

Note: Changes apply to future calls only.
Available options
Auto-detect dominant language (default) Honeit automatically detects the primary language spoken on the call and transcribes accordingly. Best for interviews conducted in a single language. This is the recommended option for most teams.
Multilingual (allow language-switching) Use this when you expect speakers to switch between languages within the same call. Honeit will track language changes in real time and transcribe accordingly.
When to use Multilingual mode
Choose Multilingual only if multiple languages will be spoken within a single interview. For example, if a candidate and interviewer switch between English and Spanish mid-conversation.
If the call will be conducted entirely in one language (even a non-English one), Auto-detect will give you better accuracy.
How to set it
Go to User Settings > AI Preferences and find the Transcription Language Mode dropdown. Select the option that fits your interview setup. Changes apply to future calls only β past calls are not affected.
