To allow Honeit to successfully add events to your connected Google calendar you must have write permissions enabled in your Google admin settings. Typically these are already set for you, however in some situations you might need to ask your company's IT team to grant Honeit write access. This article will outline the nessessary steps to grant Honeit permission to write to your synced calendar.

Updating Permissions in Google Calendar

Before you begin, please ensure you have G. Suite account administrator access in order to successfully make the changes listed in Section A below. G. Suite settings allow individual accounts to update calendar permissions allowing Honeit to add, reschedule and delete Honeit call events in their calendars.

Section A: Setting administrator permissions to allow Honeit to successfully connect to your calendar.

2. Click Apps

3. Click Google Workspace

4. Click Calendar

5. Click External share options primary calendars

6. Click External share options primary calendars (again)

7. Select Share all information, and allow manage calendar

8. Click Save

(Note: this may take up to 24 hours to propagate to individual accounts)

Section B: Setting Individual Account Settings

If you connect your Honeit account to your Google calendar after performing the steps outlined in Section A above, your account should have all the correct permissions by default and you can stop here.

If you connected your Honeit account before performing the steps outlined in Section A, or are having connectivity permissions issues, please continue reading and follow the following steps outlined below.

Note: the following must be performed for each individual user account:

1. Click the Options menu (three vertical dots) and choose Settings and sharing

2. Scroll down until you see Share with specific people, then select Make changes and manage sharing

3. Double check everything was saved. You should now have the correct permissions to allow Honeit to write scheduled call events into your connected Google calendar!
