The new Interview Scorecard feature helps recruiters bring structure, consistency and clarity to candidate evaluations.
Note: Interview Scorecards are included with all Pro and Enterprise plans.
Pro users get access to the default scorecard settings. If you'd like to create custom scorecards or advanced configurations, an Enterprise plan is required.
What Are Interview Scorecards?
Interview Scorecards allow you to rate candidates during or after a Honeit call using predefined competency categories. These structured ratings are tied to your job description and screening goals, helping teams assess candidates on real interview answers.
Interview scorecards are fully customizable per account, including categories (e.g. Cultural, Technical, Industry, Behavioral) and scoring formats (e.g. numbers). Recruiters rate each answer as they go and Honeit automatically calculates an average score to display on the final candidate presentation.
Default Core Competency Categories:
Cultural Fit – Values and team alignment
Technical Skills – Job-specific knowledge
Industry Know-How – Tools, trends, domain expertise
Behavioral Competencies – Problem-solving and soft skills
You’ll see an average score, breakdown by category and direct links to the candidate’s recorded responses and soundbites.
How to Set Up and Use Scorecards
1. Let Us Know You’d Like to Use Scorecards
To get started, email us at support@honeit.com and let us know you'd like to enable Interview Scorecards.* Please include:
Your preferred scoring scale (e.g. 1–5, 1–10)
Your competency categories (or confirm you'd like to use Honeit’s defaults)
Any weights you'd like assigned to each category (e.g. Technical = 40%, Culture = 20%)
Once we receive your preferences, we’ll customize your company account accordingly and let you know when scorecards are ready to use.
*Please note that the default competency categories are Cultural, Technical, Industry and Behavioral. Custom competencies and scorecards are currently available to Enterprise customers only.
2. Use a Call Guide with Scoring-Enabled Questions
To use Interview Scorecards, you must use a Call Guide and each question in the guide must have a competency category assigned to it in order to be scored. This ensures your scorecard is structured and tied to the correct categories during the interview.
If you need help creating or editing a guide with scoring questions, just reach out — we’re happy to assist!
3. Score During or After the Call
Use the scoring system configured for your account (e.g. stars, 1–5, 1–10, etc.) to rate responses either:
During the interview in the Interview Dashboard
Or after the call on the Call Details Page
You can also:
Select N/A for questions that don’t apply (these will not be included in the score)
Add notes to provide additional context
Once all answers are scored, you will see the overall score populate above the recording.
4. Submit & Share
Once scoring is complete, create a presentation (instant or manual). The presentation will now display the individual scores for each category, along with the overall score at the top.
Tip: If you don't see the score on your presentation page, click "Edit Link" and make sure that the "Include Scoring Highlights" toggle is turned ON. Scroll down and click "Save" to update your presentation.
