How to Create and Use Message Templates

How to create and use message templates in Honeit.

Message templates are a breeze to create and used to efficiently communicate standard responses. Here's how:

How Create Message Templates:

  • Navigate to "Manage" β†’ "Message Templates"

  • Click "Create"

  • Choose a template type

    • Invitation for a Call: Used when sending a candidate an invitation to schedule a call with you via email from Honeit.

    • Reschedule a Call Request: Used when sending a candidate a request to reschedule a call with you via email from Honeit.

    • Sharing Presentations/Call Highlights: Used when sending candidate presentations to recipients via email from Honeit.

Enter the following:

  • Name of the template

  • Short description

  • Subject line

  • Include your message

  • Click Save

You can view, edit or add to your library of templates anytime. Below is an example of each template type.

When and Where to Use Message Templates:

1. When scheduling a call

  • Click "Scheduling" β†’ "Schedule a Call."

  • Enter candidate name, email and date/time of the call.

  • Choose from one of your template types set to "Invitation for a Call" in the dropdown menu.

  • Once the template loads, you can make any edits or changes necessary.

  • Click Schedule once you are ready to send the invitation.

  • Your message will be included in the email notification that Honeit will send to the candidate.

2. When inviting your existing contacts to book a call with you

If a contact already exist in your records, you can also use the template to invite them to schedule a call with you from the contact records. Here's how:

  • Click on the contact name to pull up their profile

  • At the top right, click on "Schedule a Call"

Choose "Send a Call Invitation"

Choose your Invitation to Schedule a Call template. Make any necessary changes to the text, then click Send.

3. When requesting to reschedule a call

  • Click "View Details" of a scheduled call

  • Click "Reschedule"

  • Click "Send a Reschedule Request"

  • Choose from one of your template types set to "Reschedule a Call Request" in the dropdown menu.

  • Once the template loads, you can make any edits or changes necessary.

  • Click "Send" to send request.

  • Click "Send and Cancel" to cancel the existing call and send reschedule request

  • Your message will be included in the email notification that Honeit will send to the candidate.

4. When sharing candidate presentations/call highlights

  • Once you've create a candidate presentation, click the email button at the top

  • Choose from one of your template types set to "Sharing Call Highlights" in the dropdown menu.

  • Once the template loads, you can make any edits or changes necessary, then click Send.

    *** Alternatively, you can use AI to generate the message for you by clicking the green "Generate Message" button and choosing a tone for your email.
