Call Highlights are the audio clips that power your Honeit presentations. If you forgot to extract highlights during the interview, no worries β you can add them manually afterward.
Why this matters
Without at least one highlight, no audio presentation is generated. Adding highlights after the fact gives you the same result as doing it live.
Here's How:
1. Open the interview in Honeit
Navigate to the candidate's interview page. If no highlights were captured, you'll see a "+ Create Highlight" prompt in the Call Highlights section.
2. Click "+ Create Highlight"
This opens the highlight input row. You'll see four fields: a question/label field, a Start Time, End Time and Type (optional).
3. Set your Start Time
Listen to the recording using the waveform player. When you reach the beginning of the clip you want to extract, click the clock icon next to the Start Time field to capture that timestamp. You can also type the time manually in mm:ss format.
4. Set your End Time
Continue playing and click the clock icon next to End Time when the clip ends. Aim to capture a complete answer β typically 1 to 3 minutes works well.
5. Enter the question
In the question field, type the interview question that corresponds to this clip. You can also assign a category/type to each question such as industry, technical, cultural or behavioral.
6. Click "+ Create"
Hit the blue + Create button to save the highlight. It will appear in the list below with start/end times and your question label.
7. Repeat for additional highlights
Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each section of the interview you want to include.
8. Your presentation is ready
Once you have at least one highlight saved, you will be able to create a presentation that can be shared with hiring managers via link.
Tips
Use the zoom slider on the waveform to fine-tune your start and end times.
The 5-sec forward/back buttons help you dial in the exact moment.
Highlights are ordered by start time, so you don't need to add them in sequence.
