What are Call Requests?

Call Requests give you more control over your calendar by letting you review and approve interview requests before they’re booked. Instead of candidates automatically scheduling time, you can choose which requests to accept or decline. Ideal for users who prefer to manage their availability manually or are waiting on calendar sync approval.

How it works:

When "Auto Accept" Call Requests is toggled off, call requests must be confirmed by you before they can be scheduled and added to your calendar.

You will receive a notification to accept/reject a call request when a candidate attempts to schedule a call using your scheduling link.

This setting can be found under Scheduling → Calendar Settings.

*We recommend that you keep Auto-Accept Call Requests toggled on for a more efficient candidate scheduling process.

What candidates see when scheduling:

When candidates use your Honeit scheduling link, they’ll be asked to verify their time zone and select two preferred dates and times for the call. They can also include an optional message before submitting. Once submitted, you’ll receive a notification to review and approve the request before it’s added to your calendar.

Candidates will then receive an email notification confirming their request has been sent and will receive further instructions once it is approved by you.

When a call request is made:

You will also receive an email notification with the details of the request. Click "View Request" or navigate to your Honeit dashboard to see all call requests awaiting your confirmation.

At this time you can:

  • Confirm and accept the requested date/time of the call.

  • Choose a different day or time for the call (manually chosen by you). This will give you the option to send a message to the candidate along with the email notification that they will receive.

  • Request that the candidate chooses a new date and time as this slot no longer works for you. Choosing this option will bring up a dialog with a pre-written message that you can send to the candidates requesting a new date/time for this call by using your scheduling link. Doing this will delete the current request.
