Sometimes you want to share an interview as text only, with summaries instead of audio clips. This guide walks you through how to do that.
When you might use this
To reduce bias. Hearing a candidate's voice can influence how someone reads the interview. A text-only presentation keeps the focus on what was said.
When the hiring manager asks for text only. Some reviewers simply prefer to read.
When you just don't want audio clips.
You can still conduct and record your interview as usual for your own records. The presentation itself can be text only.
*This guide assumes you have already completed and recorded a call.
Steps
1. Conduct your call
Run your interview as you normally would, with recording on. This gives you the material to summarize later.
2. Click "Create Presentation", choose "Custom Presentation"
4. Summarize with AI
Scroll down to the Presentation Summary section and click Summarize with AI. This generates a written summary of the interview. You can edit, delete or add to the AI generated text.
5. Uncheck the audio clips
Scroll back up to the top and uncheck the boxes next to the audio clips. This removes the audio from the presentation while keeping your text.
6. Save
Scroll all the way down and click Create/Save.
7. Review your text-only presentation
That's it. Your presentation will now show the summaries without any audio clips.
Tip
Recording the call and sharing audio are two separate things. You can always keep the full recording for your records and still send a clean, text-only version to whoever is reviewing.
