Sometimes you may have a call with a candidate outside of Honeit (for example, by phone). Even though this call isn’t recorded in Honeit (meaning there’s no audio file or transcript) you can still keep track of the call within the platform.
Steps to Log an External Call in Honeit
Create a contact for the person you spoke with
Go to "Contacts" in Honeit.
Click "Add New Contact."
Add the candidate’s name, email and any other relevant information.
Click "Save."
Add the new contact to a Project (Optional)
Go to "Projects."
Click on the Project you want to add the contact to.
Click "Add Contact to Project" (top right corner).
Enter the name of the contact, select from the list and click "Add."
You will now see the candidate under the tab "All Contacts." The Status will be set to "New."
Update the Call Status to "Completed"
Once the candidate has been added to a project, switch their status to "Call Completed." This indicates that the call took place with that candidate for that project.
You will now see the candidate under the "Completed Calls" tab.
Log your call notes from the call in the candidate profile
Click on the candidate’s name.
In the Summary section, type/paste in the notes you took during your call.
Since there’s no recording, there will be no automated transcript or highlights but your notes will be saved under the candidate profile.
Create a Candidate Presentation (Optional)
If you want to share the candidate with a stakeholder, click Create Presentation (top right corner of the contact profile).
The presentation will not include audio highlights or summaries, but it will display the notes you entered in the Summary along with any other information you entered/attached (LinkedIn URL, resume etc).
Follow the steps to customize the look and content of the presentation.
Below is an example of a candidate presentation using just notes from a call. You can share the presentation as you normally would using the Copy, Email and Export Options.
