Honeit now allows you to send Honeit emails to candidates using your Gmail account (your account must be provisioned for Honeit's RPO functionality - please contact support@honeit.com for more details). Sending messages using your personal email address can help mitigate spam and increase repport with your candidates.

Conecting your Gmail account to Honeit can be done in two simple steps. Step 1 will guide you through how to setup your Gmail account to allow it to use Google's SMTP feature. Step 2 will show you how to connect Honeit to your Gmail account.

Setting up your Gmail account

(Please note that if you have a corporate/company account, your IT department may block certain settings. Please contact your IT department for assistance if you experience any issues while connecting your account)

1. Log into your Gmail account

2. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and toggle "Allow less secure apps: on"

3. You must also disable the Captcha option for Gmail. Please visit https://accounts.google.com/b/0/displayunlockcaptcha and click “Continue”.

Connect your Honeit account

1. Click "Manage > RPO Accounts" from your Honeit menu bar located at the top of any Honeit page.

2. Click “Connect SMTP”.

3. Enter the following information into the form that is displayed:

Username: <your Gmail email>

Password: <your Gmail password>

Host: smtp.gmail.com

TLS/STARTTLS Port: 587

4. Click the "Link” button.

5. The modal will now close. Click the “SMTP Mail Linked” button.

6. Click the "Test Email”, button then login into your Gmail account to see if a test email was received.

7. That's it! Your Honeit account will now startto send Honeit transactional emails using your own email account!
